Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is an extremely popular American following her win on American Idol's inaugural season. The win brought Clarkson to fame and earned her a contract with RCA Records 19 Recordings, and 'S Records. In the years since her win, she's released several of studio albums. From these that were released, three made the US Billboard 200 Chart while others were only a few centimeters away. Her name is among the most successful artists to come out of the American Idol series. She experimented as she gained success with various themes and musical styles, often writing the songs herself. Her individuality and her singing abilities earned her critical praise and a number of high-profile prizes. She was awarded an award called the Grammy Award 3 times. She also has been featured in television and films. She also wrote the kids' storybook River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and is involved with a number of charities.
