Harry Edward Styles, known in the world of music by the name of Harry Styles, is a British composer and performer known as one of the musicians of the band One Direction. His parents are Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles was born on January 1st 1994 in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school where along with three fellow students, he founded his musical group, White Eskimo. They were the winners of the Battle of Bands in 2009 with their amazing performance. Although he has an interest in music as well, he was also interested in becoming an attorney or physiotherapist. At one point, he worked as a part-time baker within his town for the purpose of assisting people financially in the home. The year was 2010. Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he performed the song Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. The group was then forced to break up due to the fact that they were selected. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles to be member of a brand new group, One Direction. The Other members included Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in 2010. They sang Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Be Sucky without You as well as Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart throughout the competition. It made them one of the frontrunners. They were however 3rd place, behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell did not win the competition. However, Cowell granted Harry Styles a 2 million dollars contract with Syco.
